Things to do:
- Definitely go to Broadway!
- I liked going to central park a lot, it is a really nice park and a nice bike path if you like biking
- I plan on going to the brooklyn bridge
- Grand central is cool to check out, but only if you are already in the area
- I liked seeing rockefeller center - where nbc is located, since I watched 30 rock
- Times square is really, really busy - it isn't worth a visit in my opinion if you are already going to broadway, you will see it on the way there. Keep valuables on hand at all times.
Transport:
- Take a taxi to and from the airport, it is much cheaper than uber/lyft
- I used the subway a lot. Google maps makes it really easy to get around, and it is sometimes faster than getting a ride. Just tap card/phone, no need to get a ticket.
- There are short-term bike rental stations all over, another great option to get around if you are comfortable biking in traffic
- Manhattan is very walkable, you can do a lot within 1 mile (~15-20 min walk)
